BASEBALL DIGEST, the oldest baseball-only magazine in the United States having been founded in 1942, is seeing the effects of the economy. This June publisher Norman Jacobs wrote to its subscribers: “In order to continue to publish Baseball Digest, we must go to a bi-monthly publishing frequency.”
Posts on baseball-fever.com revealed a reluctance to create a website, which it finally did this winter.
