A new regional magazine debuts in Nothern Michigan

GRAND TRAVERSE SCENE, a new magazine focused on the Grand Traverse Bay region in Michigan, debuted September 3.

The publication highlights the area’s places, activities and people, and provides a glimpse of local lifestyle and history.  Readers also will find information on dining, museums and events.  The inaugural issue included features on the local salmon fishing craze of the 1960s, the history of local carriage houses, the role of the region’s artesian wells and a back-stage look at the Traverse Symphony Orchestra.

Published seven times a year by the Traverse City Record-Eagle, the magazine has a print circulation of 14,500, and is available on newsstands and inside single copies of the Saturday newspaper.  The editor is Loraine Anderson, landerson@record-eagle.com.  Find the website at www.grandtraversescene.com.
