A new B2B magazine aims to boost business in Superior, WI

POSITIVELY SUPERIOR, a B2B magazine for, and about, the Superior, Wisconsin business community, launched this month.

The new bimonthly’s purpose is to promote business and commerce in Superior, highlighting companies and industries within the community.  “The main overall goal is to have a positive approach to the city of Superior and this community,” says Jay Ott, publisher of the magazine.

Created through a partnership between several civic and business organizations, the magazine is the product of the City of Superior, the Chamber of Superior-Douglas County, the University of Wisconsin-Superior and others.  Issues will be sent to local area businesses.  Reach Jay Ott at jott@admaxdisplays.com.  There is no active website at this time.

A redesigned in-flight magazine takes off

UP!, the in-flight publication for Canada’s WestJet Airlines, has unveiled a major redesign for the print magazine and its online site, upmagazine.com.

In addition to a new look, the magazine has included new editorial features and departments.  On the Ground offers “untapped highlights” of a particular city or neighborhood.  In the Field is a new section that “explores more of WestJet’s universe.”  The Brief Case section provides conversations with high-profile business travelers, about their work and travel.  The relaunched monthly also has an expanded Eat + Drink department.

New Orleans will get a new local healthcare journal

HEALTHCARE JOURNAL OF NEW ORLEANS, targeting healthcare professionals and local healthcare consumers, will launch in January 2012.

The new bimonthly will focus on regional medical news, important healthcare topics and local medical facilities, as well as interviews and profiles covering local physicians and executives in the healthcare field.  It joins sister publication HEALTHCARE JOURNAL OF BATON ROUGE, which has been in print since 2007.
