Print magazine ceases; splits into two websites

INFONOMICS has folded with its April/May issue and will be replaced by two websites under the umbrella of the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM,) which provides education, research, and best practices to help organizations find, control, and optimize their information.

The Electronic Records Management Community (ERM) website focuses on the management of records electronically, while the Enterprise 2.0 Community focuses on enterprise collaboration systems (ECS).  Both websites have expert blogs, products reviews, best practices discussions and networking community channels.

In an open letter, AIIM President John Mancini discussed the eight main reasons for the change, which boil down to a changing market, shrinking advertising market and the need to deliver more timely editorial content.  Saving trees and going green didn’t factor into the changes, although Mancini did admit it will save money for the company and subscribers.

Editor Bryant Duhon,, oversees both sites.  To get to them, visit
