You go, digital girl!

Canadian GIRLWORKS magazine announced the release of an iPad application for a digital version of the title, which launched in December 2009.  Billed as the “the magazine for smart girls” it offers articles on careers, money, health and beauty, sports and fitness, quizzes and games, technology, entertainment news and fashion for girls age 11 to 15.

Publisher Janet Kim says the digital magazine was the second half of a launch strategy.  “We launched the magazine in late 2009 because we knew Apple was going to release an e-reader and we knew it would be in colour,” said Kim in an interview.

The bi-monthly magazine, published by Girlworks Media Inc, is distributed across Canada and the US with a controlled circulation of 15,000.  Contact Janet Kim,, for more information.
