Northeast Flavor brings food, wine, dining to the table

NORTHEAST FLAVOR is a new regional quarterly magazine about food, wine and dining, scheduled to debut in November.  According to it is, “the brainchild of Spencer Smith and Jean Kerr, owners of culinary book publishing outfit Smith-Kerr Associates.”  Smith is the publisher, while Kerr, a cookbook author and former editor of TASTE OF THE SEACOAST magazine, is editor-in-chief.

The editorial in each issue will include articles for Food + Cooking (tips, techniques, recipes), Chefs + Restaurants (profiles), In the Glass (wine, spirits, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, food pairings), Local + Sustainable (food producers, gardening, conservation), Northeast Traditions (traditions, culinary history, events, places) and Get Inspired (try something new).  Fuller descriptions are available at Northeast Flavor’s website,

Supported by a robust website, the magazine is also supported by social media and mobile apps.  Smith told he hopes to take the magazine bimonthly within the year.

The premier holiday issue will be on newsstands in November.  Subscriptions are also being accepted.
