More than a mom: A new quarterly for “the woman behind the mom”

AKA MOM MAGAZINE, a quarterly publication developed by and for today’s modern mothers, will make its national debut on May 27.  Although the magazine will cover parenting topics, the broader concept is to “encourage moms to be the best they can be in all areas of their lives” with tools and advice.

In addition to parenting content, articles will focus on career advice, green living, nutrition, fitness and fashion, with a special section dedicated to dads.  Publisher Sara Connors and Wendy Manning, associate publisher and creative director, believe they are filling a niche that has been ignored, appealing to moms as whole individuals.

Published by H2O Print Media, initial circulation for AKA Mom will be 200,000, with 150,000 copies direct mailed to moms nationwide.  A media kit with contact information and an editorial calendar can be found on the website.
