FAIRFIELD LIVING, a new lifestyle publication for Fairfield County, Connecticut, will launch in November.  Produced by Moffly Media, publishers of GREENWICH, STAMFORD, WESTPORT and other regional titles, the magazine is expected to have an initial circulation of 6,500.  No website is yet available…

BRAND X, the LOS ANGELES TIMES weekly magazine, ceased print.  It had targeted younger, social networking-savvy readers, offering next-gen ideas on lifestyle, entertainment and technology.  Some content remains online…

SHAPE welcomed Michelle Stacey, mstacey@shape.com, as the magazine’s new deputy editor.  Previously she was acting executive editor for WHOLE LIVING, and deputy editor for COSMOPOLITAN…

CONTRACT magazine appointed John Czarnecki, jczarnecki@contractmagazine.com, as the new editor-in-chief.  Published by Neilson Business Media, Contract covers interior architecture and design…

NEW YORK TIMES MAGAZINE is losing story editor Chris Suellentrop, who is stepping down.  He will continue as a contributing writer…

AUSTIN MONTHLY named Sarah Thurmond, sarah@austinmonthly.com, as a senior editor.  She comes to the publication from TENNIS magazine, where she served as an associate editor…

CONDE NAST TRAVELER will welcome Billie Cohen, billie_cohen@condenast.com, on July 11 as the new website editor.  Cohen was deputy features editor at TIME OUT NEW YORK…

PEOPLE STYLE WATCH saw a flurry of staff changes as Kara Studinski, kara_studinski@peoplemag.com, replaced Sara Gaynes as editorial assistant.  Studinski had been the assistant to GLAMOUR’s deputy fashion director.  The publication also hired Christa Lee, christa_lee@peoplemag.com, as an editorial assistant.  Previously she was a freelance beauty editor for Glamour…

GLAMOUR filled the vacancy left by Studinski’s departure with Avery Matera, avery_matera@condenast.com.  Matera is now the assistant to Glamour’s deputy fashion director…

HEALTH magazine promoted Frances Largeman Roth, frances_largeman@timeinc.com, from senior food and nutrition editor to food and nutrition director.  She had been in the previous post since February 2007…

OK! MAGAZINE lost beauty and health editor Loni Albert, who also wrote the “Loni Works it Out” blog for the publication. No replacement has been named…
