A new Marie Claire supplement will target young women in the workplace

MARIE CLAIRE will expand its editorial content in the November issue, adding a 72-page supplement titled MARIE CLAIRE@WORK, touted as “Your get-ahead guide for career, style and success.”

The supplement targets working women, who Marie Claire says make up 87% of its readers.  Articles will cover workplace fashion and career tips for women in the magazine’s 21 to 34 year-old demographic.  Because the November issue focuses on money, it offered the best opportunity for introducing the workplace supplement.  The expanded content will be featured across all platforms.

Plans are brewing for two supplements next year, in April and November, with an eventual goal of producing them quarterly.  The November supplement will be bundled in 435,000 copies to subscribers and 100,000 newsstand copies in the 10 biggest markets.  Joanna Coles, jcoles@hearst.com, is the editor-in-chief.  The website is www.marieclaire.com.
