Hoping you’ll “Like” them: Four new magazines cover social media in business

TWEETING & BUSINESS, FB & BUSINESS (Facebook), THE BIG G & BUSINESS (Google) and LI & BUSINESS (Linked In) are four new social media magazines that debuted in print and digital formats on October 19.  All were created to help businesses and entrepreneurs leverage social media platforms to their advantage, and are distributed exclusively through Office Depot.

Publisher GSG Worldmedia states that the goal is to “find the best content available, wherever it currently resides, and make it easily accessible and usable for business people everywhere.”  Articles focus on effective ways readers can apply social media to market and advance their businesses.  GSG says they want to avoid the typical content about social media, which often covers issues not relevant to their target audience.

The executive editor for each magazine is an expert in their particular social media platform and its use in marketing, rather than a professional journalist.  The Big G & Business is led by marketing consultant Jay Abraham.  Jeffrey Hayzlett, former CMO of Kodak, heads up Tweeting & Business.  Facebook expert Mari Smith oversees FB & Business, and Linkedin guru Nathan Lievman is leading LI & Business.  A number of business executives, marketing authors and notable entrepreneurs have signed on as contributors to the publications.

Through the Office Depot partnership, the free digital magazines were sent to five million business readers.  The titles are available for iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Android tablets, BlackBerry, Kindle and multimedia.  Print subscriptions are offered for $179 per year.  For editorial inquiries email editorial@socialmediamags.com.  Find the magazines at: http://tweetingandbusiness.com/magazine; http://fbandbusiness.com/magazine; http://thebiggandbusiness.com/magazine; http://liandbusiness.com/magazine
