Reality bites: A new weekly dedicated to the reality TV genre

REALITY WEEKLY, a magazine exclusively dedicated to covering reality TV shows and stars, will debut in January 2012, with an initial run of 13 test issues.

The new glossy, published by American Media, will offer photo-heavy features of the latest news, recaps and inside scoops.  Several celebrity contributors have signed on, such as Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest and Donald Trump.  A companion website will launch as well.

Sold only on newsstands and through chain merchants, the magazine’s slogan is, “Less Money, More Fun!”  Richard Spencer, rspencer@amilink.com, editor-in-chief of OK! magazine in the U.S., also will be at the helm of Reality Weekly in the same post.  There is no active website as yet.
