Dr. Oz Partners with Hearst for New Magazine

DrOz blogsizeDr. Mehmet Oz is partnering with Hearst to create a new lifestyle magazine that will focus on experiencing life to its fullest. A debut test issue of the as-of-yet untitled magazine will hit newsstands nationwide in the first quarter of 2014, followed by a second issue, which could lead to a regular frequency in the second half of 2014.

The editorial will cover physical and emotional wellbeing, food, beauty, real-women’s stories, news, travel and finances. The magazine’s goal is to be motivating, uplifting and informative.

Initial newsstand distribution for the first test issue will be 350,000, with an additional 450,000 copies sent to targeted subscribers of select Hearst titles.

Alison Brower has been announced as the editor-in-chief. She has previously been executive editor of REDBOOK and deputy editor of GLAMOUR.
